Finding late support, however, Bitcoin broke through major support levels to end the day at $ 64,100.
The short-term uptrend remained intact, ATH supported $ 68,958 on Wednesday.
The rest of the pack
In the rest of the majors, Friday was a mixed day.
Crypto.com Coin resisted the trend, rising 1.97%.
It was, however, a bearish day for the rest of the majors.
Litecoin slipped 4.22% to lead the way on the downside.
Bitcoin Cash SV (-1.88%), Cardanos ADA (-1.65%), Chainlink (-1.42%), Ethereum (-1.14%), Polkadot (-2.27%) and Ripples XRP (-2.01%) also experienced difficulties.
Binance Coin fell 0.28% more modestly on the day.
During the current week, the total crypto market peaked at $ 3,007 billion on Wednesday before falling to a low of $ 2,657 billion on Wednesday. At the time of writing, the total market cap was $ 2.812 billion.
Bitcoin dominance peaked at 44.62% on Wednesday before falling to a low of 42.78% on Friday. At the time of writing this article, Bitcoin dominance stands at 43.20%.
This morning
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was up 0.38% to $ 64,379.0. A bullish start to the day saw Bitcoin drop from an early morning low of $ 64,134.0 to a high of $ 64,397.0.
Bitcoin left major support and resistance levels untested early on.
Elsewhere, it was a bullish start to the day.
At the time of writing, Crypto.com Coin was up 4.52% to lead the way.
For Bitcoin Day Ahead
Bitcoin should avoid the $ 63,937 pivot to bring into play the first major resistance level at $ 65,618.
Broad market support would be needed for Bitcoin to break out of the $ 65,500 levels.
The story continues
Barring a large scale crypto rally, the first major resistance level and resistance at $ 66,000 would likely cap the upside.
In the event of a prolonged rally, Bitcoin could test resistance on Wednesday ATH at $ 68,958. The second major resistance level is located at $ 67,103.
A fall through the pivot of $ 63,937 would bring into play the first major support level at $ 62,452.
Unless another extended sell off that day, however, Bitcoin should avoid levels below $ 60,000. The second major support level at $ 60,771 should limit the decline.
