Top US Crypto Exchange Coinbase Adds New Feature For Users To Share Wallet With Others

The titan of the crypto exchange Coinbase is adding new features to its trading platform.

According to a company blog post, Coinbase is launching a way for users to share their crypto wallet details with others.

“We make it easy to share information about your assets, such as price changes or portfolio allocations.

Just hit the ‘share’ button in the Coinbase app on any asset pricing page or on your portfolio page and share those asset pages with your private network or on your social network. “

Coinbase specifies that account balances will never be shared between users.

The popular US-based exchange also announced last week that it would make its Coinbase wallet a standalone feature rather than a browser extension. Coinbase says the change will allow users to browse the crypto realm on their desktops without needing to constantly confirm transactions on their smartphones.

“We’ve seen incredible traction with the Coinbase Wallet extension, which has made it easier to connect securely to Decentralized Applications (DApps) and Decentralized Finance (DeFi) from more devices.

[Now], we are bringing full standalone functionality to the Coinbase Wallet extension.

The announcements come after the company said in August that it had assembled a team of engineers to build its own Layer 2 solution on top of Ethereum (ETH).

“One of the most exciting projects our protocol team is working on is helping to evolve Ethereum through integration with L2 [layer-2] and other scaling solutions. Scaling up Ethereum will help address some of the biggest challenges, including high prices and long settlement times.

We want to enable our customers to opt out quickly and inexpensively directly to a supported L2 solution.
