“The malware installer has been used in various recent campaigns to deliver information thieves, RATs and even LockBit ransomware,” said researchers at Morphisec, a security solutions provider.

The new Babadeda malware installer works by encrypting malicious code, which makes it harder to detect, which is why it is also called an “encryptor”.

Apart from that, it can also obscure and manipulate these codes. Morphisec experts added that hackers are using this new tool to send decoy messages to their targeted Discord channels.
