Crypto.com and Conmebol to create NFTs in new partnership

South American football’s governing body, Conmebol, has entered into a three-year partnership with Crypto.com, from 2023 to 2026.

The multi-year deal will see the cryptocurrency exchange platform produce non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for Conmebol’s Copa Liberatadores, which will be available on Crypto.com’s dedicated platform.

Through its partnership with Conmebol, Crypto.com adds the Copa Libertadores to a portfolio of sponsors that includes the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Formula 1, football giants Paris Saint-German (PSG) and the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The cryptocurrency platform also recently signed a 20-year naming rights agreement for the former Staples Center in Los Angeles, worth US $ 700 million.

Crypto.com will gain visibility in stadiums during the Copa Libertadores and become the first brand to partner with the competition’s Virtual Assistant Referee (VAR). The platform will also be promoted on the South American Football Tournament digital assets and in broadcasts.
