After Solana’s DDoS Attack, Crypto Watchers Questioned History Evidence

Things appear to be back for Solana, after the fifth largest blockchain suffered a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack that blocked the network and caused delays all around.

But since then some crypto users have tried to analyze the root cause of the attack and whether it could happen to other channels. In fact, even Polkadot retweeted a security-related conversation from his own channel.

Things came to a head when an investment firm’s CIO pointed out Solana’s Proof-of-History consensus mechanism.

For his part, Justin Bons tweeted,

The post quickly went viral, as many tried to figure out whether history proof could pose a security risk. This is where Polkadot comes in.
