The worlds of crypto and fintech continue to collide.

The digital wealth manager and neobroker Scalable Capital is launching a new offer to invest in cryptocurrencies.
The company, which started as a ‘robo advisor’ and now has a brokerage business as well as a digital wealth white label solution, will offer access to crypto investments through regulated exchanges in Germany that trade in commodities traded in scholarship (ETP).
“We make crypto trading as easy as trading stocks or ETFs,” says Erik Podzuweit, co-founder and co-CEO of Scalable Capital.
“Cryptocurrencies are well established as an asset class in a balanced portfolio. ”
The move, which comes as part of a partnership with CoinShares, is the latest example of a collision between the fintech and crypto worlds as digital assets gain acceptance.
Crypto ETPs hold digital assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereumin secure cold wallets with regulated depositories, and Scalable clients do not need to open a separate wallet with cryptocurrencies held as securities on the account of customer’s existing deposit.
Trading takes place on the Xetra (Deutsche Börse) and gettex (Börse München) stock exchanges during normal trading hours.
Scalable is one of the last fintech unicorns following a $ 180 million (150 million) Series E funding round led by Chinese tech giant Tencent in June that pushed its valuation at $ 1.4 billion.
