George Godsal Launches Crypto Consulting Firm After Leaving BitMEX

HONG KONG – George Godsal has launched a consultancy focused on reputation issues and advice in the booming cryptocurrency industry, after stepping down as communications manager for the crypto exchange BitMEX .

Godsal quits after two years with BitMEX and launched REKT Partners, marking a return from the agency side after previous stints at BCW, MSL and H + K Strategies.

Specifically, Godsal hopes to use his experience at BitMEX to help crypto clients better manage the growing threat of crisis and reputation issues facing companies in the industry. As a result, Godsal aims to build a partnership model that also brings together compliance, regulatory and legal experts, as well as “non-traditional recruitments” in terms of knowledge and experience in the crypto industry. The launch of REKT Partners comes amid signs of agency growth in the crypto industry. Last month, crypto communications firm Yap Global established an Asia-Pacific hub in Singapore, with five new hires. One of the new arrivals is Gemma Lo, who heads Yap Global’s Asia-Pacific operations.
