Why Crypto.com Coin is Getting Beaten Up Today

[ad_1]

What happened

Today, the popular cryptocurrency Crypto.com Coin (CRYPTO: CRO) is hammered by the market. As of 3:45 p.m. ET, Crypto.com Coin has fallen 8.5% in the past 24 hours, falling to around $ 0.50 per token.

At its peak a little over a month ago, Crypto.com Coin had reached almost $ 1 per token.

That said, Crypto.com Coin is still up over 550% last year, due to impressive growth in the crypto trading platform and impressive marketing.

Today, investors appear to be looking past a number of 2021 catalysts, selling tokens that can be considered higher risk in nature.

So what

It’s a new year, and with it, investors seem to be reassessing their perspective on particular cryptocurrencies.

For many, Crypto.com Coin, which tripled in the space of about a month during the fourth quarter of last year, is a token that has simply grown too fast. Further concerns about the quality of the catalysts underlying this token’s rise appear to be materializing today.

Notably, Crypto.com Coin signed a deal in the fourth quarter that saw the Staples Center become the Crypto.com Arena. A powerful marketing campaign fueled by ads from Matt Damon and a Coinbase Global listing completed a series of euphoric catalysts for investors.

However, the headlines for this token have slowed down. Of course, Crypto.com Coin now has some serious cachet. It is a token powering a popular crypto trading platform that has gained international recognition. That said, it remains to be seen to what extent investors will continue to buy this token on this notoriety.

Now what

Looking at various asset classes, it appears that investors are intent on turning to more defensive assets. Whether it’s stocks or cryptocurrencies, there is much less appetite today for sentiment driven rallies and momentum tokens.

This does not mean that future rallies will not take place. However, taking the temperature of the market right now, many investors seem to feel a lot more secure for bank profits and are waiting for the next rally to materialize.

For Crypto.com Coin, the next month or two will be interesting to watch. This token has come a long way since the fourth quarter of last year; let’s see if this token can hold up, or if it will potentially give up more ground. Either way, it’s a token on my watchlist right now.
