Growing rapidly and looking for a Fraud Specialist to work on Front Line Cryptocurrency, Blockchain and NFT Marketplace Fraud Investigations for DraftKings. Through trend analysis, prevention recommendations and loss reduction, you will collaborate with team leaders and have a real impact on our increasingly global business. You will ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations and best practices, and work with our product and customer experience teams to lead fraud-based team initiatives. What you will do as a fraud specialist:

Identify and support the risks of fraud and money laundering on a daily basis, and the resulting investigations related to cryptocurrency, blockchain and our growing NFT market are executed efficiently.

Advise the fraud investigations team on fraud patterns, emerging trends and typologies related to NFT and crypto transactions.

Investigate escalated alerts and cases of potentially suspicious activity and potential fraud in core DraftKings verticals.

Examine player deposit and withdrawal transactions for potential fraud to ensure DraftKings credit card merchant accounts are properly managed.

Ability to execute SQL queries to extract critical information in order to perform data mining and ad hoc examinations for daily monitoring.

Maintain knowledge of the upcoming industry and product risks, regulatory changes, emerging risks and trends.

Provide data-backed recommendations when implementing new fraud alerts and controls.

Compile SARs and fraud reports to relevant regulators and partners.

Assist regulatory operations, compliance and other internal teams with ad hoc requests and additional fraud reviews as required.

Support the discovery, containment and prevention of fraud and abuse groups.

What you will bring:

In-depth knowledge of the identification and prevention of fraud and money laundering within the Cryptocurrency space working in fraud investigations with experience in crypto / blockchain

At least two years of experience working in a financial environment within a financial crime unit or e-commerce company.

Self-motivated, organized and analytical thinker with a desire to thoroughly investigate potentially fraudulent customer behavior.

An investigative curiosity with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate a vision across the organization.

Experience with fraud and money laundering related to Crypto Wallet movements.

Knowledge of cryptocurrency transaction investigation and monitoring tools, and proven ability to trace transactions through blockchain.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to operate in multiple departments with internal and external stakeholders

Basic SQL experience is required, intermediate experience is preferred.

Proficiency with Zendesk and Microsoft Office suite of products. Intermediate skills in Excel are preferred but not required.

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification is preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or sociology will be considered an asset.

Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and gaming regulations.
