Besides eco-driving, car owners can also be entertained or find their exact destination. Now, some Tesla consumers have found another way to use the Tesla Model 3.

It’s quite different from your usual activities since this new trick will allow you to acquire cryptocurrencies. Siraj Raval, a 2018 Tesla Model 3 owner from San Francisco, explained how you could use your electric vehicle to mine Ethereum and Polygon.

Before following its guide, you must remember that there is a risk in this new EV hack.

Tesla Model 3 crypto mining tip

According to the latest report from CNBC, Raval uses various gadgets to mine cryptocurrencies. These include Apple Mac Mini M1. Apart from that, he also uses his Tesla Model 3 to acquire these digital tokens.

Musk said the state-of-the-art five-seat sedan will be the first mass-produced electric car capable of driving on the highway. The car has an expected base price of US $ 57,400 but will cost less than $ 50,000 after a federal tax credit of $ 7,500.

He explained that he had connected GPUs to the front trunk of the electric vehicle. This allowed him to run the interconnected graphics processing units using the Tesla Model 3’s internal battery.

Another technique he uses is bypassing Tesla’s native processor. He does this by using JavaScript to tweak the central processing units of his electric car.

“It’s a lot faster and it’s a lot more energy efficient,” Siraj said.

However, the car owner also warned that bypassing Tesla’s native system would void the car warranty you have with the giant electric vehicle maker.

Why Tesla Model 3 is an efficient crypto mining machine

Info Insights explained that crypto mining uses a lot of energy. Thus, Siraj’s technique is clearly effective since it uses the battery of his EV.

On the other hand, this blockchain activity also involves powerful computers and cryptographic processes. Since Tesla’s processor is somehow more advanced than the mainframe models, you can easily mine for digital tokens.

In other news, Tesla becomes the number one car seller in Switzerland in 2021. Meanwhile, the Cybertruck’s production date has been removed from Tesla’s official website.
