ZUG, Switzerland, January 19, 2021 – Bitcoin Association, the Swiss-based global industry organization working to advance business with the Bitcoin SV (BSV) blockchain, today announces that it has appointed Marcin Rzetecki as a specialist technical awareness for Central Europe . Rzetecki will be based in Poland, where he will work to further improve the understanding and adoption of BSV in Central Europe.

In this role, Rzetecki will strive to connect with businesses and software developers across Poland and Central Europe, as well as foster the BSV developer community and blockchain development knowledge in this region. Business outreach is a key pillar of the Bitcoin Association’s work, as it strives to foster the development of a vibrant, regulatory-compliant ecosystem for blockchain technologies and digital assets.

The move comes as interest and adoption of Bitcoin SV continues to grow globally. As the only blockchain protocol that adheres to creator Satoshi Nakamoto’s original design and vision for Bitcoin – both as a peer-to-peer electronic payment system and a global data registry for businesses – Bitcoin SV is quickly becoming the distributed data network of choice for enterprises and developers alike. With the ability to scale without limits and support huge transaction volumes, in addition to its micropayment, smart contract, tokenization and data functionalities, Bitcoin SV is the only blockchain capable of serving as a ledger of global public data for payments and enterprise data applications.

Europe is one of the many regions where the BSV blockchain is gaining traction as an enterprise data and transaction management infrastructure, with leading provider of cloud accounting software solutions VISMA | yuki recently announced a partnership with mintBlue to integrate its BSV-based software development kit (SDK) into its platform.

Rzetecki brings a wealth of blockchain experience to his new role at the Bitcoin Association. He is an experienced computer scientist and full stack developer. He has also served as Vice President of the Polish Blockchain Association since 2018, where he works to improve the advancement of blockchain technologies in the country. He is a seasoned speaker at blockchain conferences across Europe and has extensive experience as a blockchain consultant and speaker.

Speaking on today’s announcement, Bitcoin Association Chief Executive Patrick Prinz commented:

‘Bitcoin Association is committed to increasing adoption and improving understanding of the transformative potential of the BSV blockchain. Central and Eastern Europe are key markets for enterprise software development companies and enterprises building efficient and scalable blockchain solutions, making Marcin [Rzetecki]hire one in a timely manner. His extensive blockchain-related experience will be invaluable as he connects with software developers, businesses, and policymakers across the region and demonstrates BSV’s capabilities as the only public blockchain that can scale without limit and meet the demands of business and government.

Commenting on his hiring, Marcin Rzetecki said:

“I’m excited to join the Bitcoin Association because I see huge potential for blockchain technology and for BSV. I’ve been working as a Blockchain Technical Consultant since 2018 and had a huge problem finding a blockchain that works – fast , cheap and secure After analyzing BSV for many months, my conclusion is that it fulfills these properties the best, making it well suited for a variety of use cases from a technical and business perspective I look forward to working with businesses and governments in my new role to demonstrate these capabilities and contribute to the development of the blockchain industry in Europe.

About the Bitcoin Association

Bitcoin Association is the Switzerland-based global industry organization working to advance business on the Bitcoin SV blockchain. It brings together essential components of the Bitcoin SV ecosystem – companies, start-ups, developers, traders, exchanges, service providers, blockchain transaction processors (miners) and others – working alongside them, as well as in a representative capacity, to foster the use of the Bitcoin SV blockchain and the adoption of the BSV digital currency.

The Association strives to create a regulatory-compliant ecosystem that promotes lawful conduct while facilitating innovation using all aspects of Bitcoin technology. More than a digital currency and a blockchain, Bitcoin is also a network protocol; like the Internet Protocol, it is the fundamental set of rules for an entire data network. The Association supports the use of the original Bitcoin protocol to operate the globally unique blockchain on Bitcoin SV.
