Cryptocurrency offers: Here’s what crypto exchanges are offering to attract investors

New Delhi: Following the strong sell-off in the cryptocurrency market, a number of local and international crypto exchanges and trading platforms have launched promotional campaigns to attract investors. These campaigns are aimed at attracting investors to support declining trading volumes amid a steep decline and growing regulatory concerns.

ETMarkets.com contacted various exchanges seeking information on their freebies for crypto users. Here is the complete information about the offers of all the exchanges:

OKExThe second largest crypto exchange in the world, OKEx, is set to give away $3 million as part of the Asian Lunar New Year promotion for participants from Asian countries.

The list includes Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor) and Vietnam.

As part of the contest, OKX users can refer a friend to start trading on the platform. The user and the referred user will each receive 25 USD red packets from OKX, which has 30,000 SHIB and 24 USDT cashback cards.

At the end of the promotion, OKX will also split the $3 million prize pool among participants, with the participant who refers the maximum number of users winning a Tesla car.

ZebPay Exchange offers Rs 100 cashback to traders upon completion of their first transaction, which can be redeemed using coupon code “ZEBPAY100”.

The exchange also runs the Fortune Club offer where users have a chance to win iPhones and Bitcoins by following ZebPay’s social media channels. It also hosts regular trading challenges that reward the best merchants on ZebPay.

Mudrex Instilling a long-term approach to investing in cryptocurrencies, Mudrex has come up with a campaign to reward investors with its three-tier rewards campaign where users have the potential to earn up to $1,000 in free rewards when investing through the Mudrex wallet.

An investment of over $1,000 will net users a scratch card with guaranteed rewards of up to $1,000 in free crypto, while an investment of over $500 will get users a scratch card with guaranteed rewards of up to to $500 in free crypto. Meanwhile, an investment of over $100 will earn a scratch card with guaranteed rewards of up to $20.

Giottos Crypto ExchangeFor new customers, the exchange offers rewards for signing up and KYC on the platform. They can use promotional codes to redeem cryptos worth up to Rs 75. Another feature called “Spin and Earn” allows customers to try their luck with a spinning wheel for free cryptocurrencies during the registration as well as for social engagement and referrals.

Belfrics Belfrics Group, a blockchain and crypto exchange company, is awarding free Bitcoins worth Rs 100 to their first 50,000 customers upon completion of their KYC.

Defy Defy, a Fintech startup in the crypto space has launched an activation campaign with CRED which gives its users a chance to earn Bitcoin worth Rs 100 on their transaction with Defy. One lucky winner will receive Ethereum worth Rs 1,00,000. The campaign started on January 27 and will remain active until February 3, 2022.

Educational CampaignsCrypto trading platforms like WazirX and CoinDCX run crypto education campaigns for newbie investors to get through tough times.

WazirX’s Blockchain course, launched in early January 2022, aims to educate investors, as more than 16,500 registrations spent 935,886 minutes learning about blockchain, as reported by the exchange.

CoinDCX also educates investors through its DCXlearn campaign, which offers free cryptocurrency and blockchain courses at two levels – beginner and intermediate – with certification.
