What can crypto do for the world?

When Bitcoin was first launched in 2009, no one knew the dramatic impact cryptocurrencies would have on our world. Today, blockchain technology is used everywhere, pioneering a technological revolution all over the world.

The operation was funded by Cardano’s philanthropic holders, with some donations weighing in at tens of thousands of ADA tokens.

Blockchain is perfect for project tracking and verification due to its immutable and transparent nature – transparency makes publicly stored data verifiable, and immutability makes that data tamper-proof. These aspects also make blockchain ideal for digital asset ownership management, enabling the efficient issuance and trading of on-chain stocks and bonds.

Bob Eco Ltd, an environmentally conscious electric vehicle company supplying two- and three-wheel electric vehicles to developing countries. Bob Eco is a pioneer in the digital asset space by raising funds through what he calls an “ICOWA” or “ICO with assets”. ICOs, or Initial Coin Offerings, are fundraising events where cryptocurrency projects sell utility tokens to early investors to raise capital. In an ICOWA, digital asset tokens, not utility tokens, are sold.

Bob is making a difference by supplying electric motorcycles and electric three-wheelers to Africa. Bob Eco offers hire purchases there, which are custom built to taxi passengers and deliver food, parcels and agricultural produce.

Bob also offers a swap-as-you-go service that allows Bob riders to swap out their motorcycle batteries for free; this saves drivers about $4.40 on fuel per day, saving them almost four times more than traditional gas-powered motorcycle taxis. Bob motorcycles are the world’s first consumer electric vehicles that cost less to own, maintain and operate than a gasoline-powered vehicle.

With African motorcycle taxis emitting about 5 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) each year, Africa’s approximately 100 million motorcycle taxis emit 500 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Bob’s goal is to see all motorcycle taxis go electric within 10 years, helping both drivers and the world.
