In November 2021, bitcoin market valuation managed to make it into the list of top ten assets ranked by market capitalization, as it was the eighth largest market capitalization last year on November 9. Since then, bitcoin is 75% lower in value against the US dollar and the market capitalization of the main crypto asset has fallen to the 26th position among the most valuable assets and companies in the world.

On that day, BTC’s market cap was below the overall valuation of the precious metal silver, which was $1.38 trillion on November 9, 2021. The top crypto asset was just above the market valuation of 1,167. trillion dollars from Tesla registered 395 days ago. Additionally, Ethereum (ETH) was in the top 20 asset positions ranked by market capitalization, with ETH holding the 15th largest market capitalization on November 9, 2021.

At the time, the market valuation of ETH was around $570.45 billion, with ether trading for $4,839 per unit. Ethereum’s market capitalization was lower than that of Tencent, which had a market valuation of around $588.07 billion. Today, December 9, 2022, the two major crypto assets BTC and ETH are at much lower valuations than a year ago. Bitcoin is not represented in the top 10 assets ranked by market capitalization, as it is now in the top 30 positions and ranks 26th. The market cap of $331.76 billion that BTC holds today is just below Chevron’s market cap of around $335.56 billion.

Additionally, bitcoin’s market cap is just above Home Depot’s overall market valuation, which is valued at $330.30 billion on December 9. Ethereum has slipped a lot from the 15th largest position as it now sits at 72nd with a market capitalization of around $155.25 billion. Ether’s market capitalization is lower than that of United Parcel Service (UPS), which is $155.36 billion, and just above Adobe’s valuation ($154.61 billion).

The current market price of Ethereum is around 73.7% lower than it was 395 days ago on November 9, 2021. Although BTC and ETH have seen their market caps decline over the past year , the same is true for a large number of different assets. and businesses. Some assets, such as the overall market valuation of gold, have conversely recorded increases over the past 12 months.
