Bitcoin BTC/USD, the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency, posted losses but traded above the key $17,000 level on Friday. The Federal Reserve on Wednesday raised its target federal funds rate by 0.5% to a new range of between 4.25% and 4.5%, in light of Wall Street expectations.
Ethereum ETH/USD, also traded lower, falling below the $1,300 mark.
OKB OKB/USD was the biggest gainer in the previous 24 hours, while Trust Wallet Token TWT/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.
At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap has fallen to $825.30 billion, registering a 3.5% 24-hour decline. BTC was trading down 3.1% to $17,012, while ETH fell around 5.2% to $1,211 on Friday.
