Ethereum censorship tied to ETH staking in crypto exchanges: Data

When it comes to Ethereum, investors are expected to determine how compliant the ecosystem is, as Cointelegraph reported.

According to Cointelegraph, around 60% of all post-merger Ethereum blocks agree with US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions. Crypto members are believed to be against the transformation, while others do not realize their own contribution to Ethereum achieving full OFAC compliance.

Based on information from Cointelegraph, one factor that is believed to have affected Ethereum’s neutral credibility is the use of MEV relays by crypto ecosystems and exchanges. Ether staking by users on platforms that manage MEV relay censorship on their validators ensures a direct contribution to Ethereum censorship. Experts believe that crypto platforms can help rectify the situation through the adoption of an uncensored MEV-boost relay. Reportedly, MEV-boost Relays that do not engage in censorship include Ultra Sound Money, Agnostic Boost, Aestus, BloXroute Max Profit, BloxRoute Ethical, Manifold, and Relayooor.

Additionally, Cointelegraph noted that 67 of the last 100 Ethereum blocks were related to OFAC compliance. Therefore, it is increasingly important for investors and service providers to opt for uncensored MEV-boost relays. Recently, the Ethereum ecosystem saw two dormant addresses become active after four years to transfer 22,982 ETH, which were traced to the Genesis and Poloniex trading platforms where the unknown sources transferred 13,103.99 ETH and 9,878 ETH, respectively.
