New Delhi: The cryptocurrency market was trading mixed on Monday. Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Yearn Finance were trading with gains, while Binance and Dogecoin were trading with reductions.
Bitcoin was up 0.31% and held near the $17,000 mark, while Ethereum traded comfortably above the $1,200 levels. At the same time, Litecoin outperformed its larger peers and rose 5%.
Cardano rose 0.2% while XRP, Polygon and Tron also traded higher. However, Dogecoin fell around 1.5%.
The global cryptocurrency market capitalization was slightly higher at around $812 billion, up 0.12% in the past 24 hours.
Total DeFi volume is currently $1.61 billion, or 7.11% of the total crypto market. The volume of all stablecoins was around $20.68 billion, or 91.30% of the total crypto market.
The price of Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, hovered around $325 billion, with 40.02% dominance, an increase of 0.07% on the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

India’s policy on crypto assets and its ecosystem is under the Ministry of Finance and any legislation on it would only be effective through international collaboration after proper risk assessment, Parliament said last week.
“Crypto assets are by definition borderless and require international collaboration to prevent regulatory arbitrage. Therefore, any legislation on the subject can only be effective with meaningful international collaboration on the assessment of risks and benefits and evolution of taxonomy and common standards,” the Minister of State said. for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary told the Lok Sabha in a written response.
