Bitcoin and Ether fell slightly during Asian trading hours on Thursday afternoon, with XRP leading the losses among the top 10 unstable cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.

Asian stock markets fell after Wall Street’s overnight losses. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.94%, the Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.44% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index closed down 1.09%. The Shanghai Composite Index has fallen for three consecutive days despite China’s withdrawal from its zero-Covid policy. There are fears China’s reopening could lead to an increase in global coronavirus infections and spark restrictions. The United States has required air passengers arriving from China to present negative Covid test results, while Italy has ordered swabs upon arrival of travelers from China.
