Bitcoin, Ethereum up, Cardano leads gains

Bitcoin and Ethereum prices were little changed on Monday morning in Asia, along with most of the top 10 unstable cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Cardano led the gains with 1.65% while BNB lost the most with 0.96%.

Ethereum rose 0.26% to US$1,198 and fell 1.63% over the past week, according to CoinMarketCap. Cardano gained the most at 1.65% to trade at US$0.2489. BNB, the native token of major cryptocurrency exchange Binance, led losses and fell 0.96% in the past 24 hours to trade at US$243. US authorities are reportedly reviewing Binance.US’ bid to acquire bankrupt digital asset brokerage Voyager Digital. US stock markets closed lower on the last trading day of 2022 last Friday. The Nasdaq Composite was down 0.11% while the S&P 500 closed down 0.25% on Friday. The American and Hong Kong markets are closed Monday for New Year’s Day.
