Max Keizer and volcanic bonds
Max Keizer is the BTC evangelist who has written several books about his Bitcoin journey, described as “relentless optimism in the age of Bitcoin”. Interestingly, the filmmaker, broadcaster and journalist was granted Salvadoran citizenship and became one of the top Bitcoin beach stars in El Zonte. Keizer and his wife Stacy Herbert started the Orange Pill Party, raising awareness of the overall benefits of Bitcoin and blockchain technology to society.
The crypto couple have been involved in educational Bitcoin Lightning events around El Salvador, sponsored by Pro-Bitcoin Chairman Nayib Bukele. Bukele, a bitcoin lover, has drawn up plans for a Golden Bitcoin City with a volcano as its centerpiece. Soon after, Keizer became obsessed with the idea, as El Salvador could be the world’s first Bitcoin-powered crypto hub. Ultimately, BTC-backed Volcano Bonds would attract many investors to El Salvador and increase adoption.

El Salvador is still getting used to BTC
Indeed, Bitcoin Lightning technology allows unbanked Salvadorans to pay their bills without taking a long bus ride. At the same time, international tourism levels have skyrocketed due to Bitcoin’s range and the country’s positive stance on crypto. Disfavoured by the mass media, Mr. Bukele agrees with Max Keiser’s definition of the power of Bitcoin:
“Bitcoin is the most extreme art possible, free from censorship.” However, recent research reveals that the Chivo app released by Nayib Bukele’s government did not stick with the public or businesses. Most users rushed to sign up for the mobile app to get the $30 bonus, which is three working days for an average Salvadoran.
As the President continues his bold crackdown on gangs, encourages Bitcoin maximalism, and focuses on international tourism, Stacy Herbert describes the El Salvador trip as “the biggest brand change in history.”
Amazing thread on #Bitcoin + #Bukele = Biggest rebranding in history cost nothing at all! Compare that to the over $550m a previous government spent marketing CAFTA… Or the tens of billions Qatar spent on the World Cup https://t.co/Rtr56rXwz6

On the Flipside, Nayib Bukele’s crypto wallet is still heavily in the red. Additionally, the President’s BTC purchases are down 62.02%, with $41 million remaining from the initial $108 million. The Bitcoin-loving president also aims to buy one BTC per day, applying the DCA (Dollar Cost A Average) tactic since November 18, 2022. Why you should care
