Americans Want More Crypto Regulations Than Marijuana Regulations: Survey

[ad_1]

The United States has better regulations for marjuana compared to cryptocurrencies, the internet, and social media. Recently, the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll held a survey to gather voters’ suggestions on which industry regulations should be tightened.

The survey was conducted on January 18 and 19, 2023. Approximately 2050 registered voters participated. The detailed report of the investigation has 53 pages.

The survey was conducted to find out the opinions of Americans on the regulation of specific sectors such as cryptocurrencies, consumer privacy and securities on the Internet, social media, nuclear energy, electric vehicles, the coal, marijuana and gas stoves.

The results are quite amazing. 33% of total voters voted for more marijuana regulations; 22% voted to keep the regulations the same; and 45% percent voted that there should be less marijuana regulation in the United States.

About 57% voted that there should be more and stricter regulations for the crypto industry, 21% of them think the regulations should stay the same and 22% think fewer rules and regulations should be implemented in cryptocurrencies.

Although Americans are concerned about their privacy and security on the internet and among the 2,050 voters, 55% of voters support more regulations for internet user privacy and security, 23% think existing rules should remain while 23% think there should be fewer regulations.
