Shiba Inu, Dogecoin among the most bought by Crypto Whales

The rally in the crypto market is being triggered by retail investors as the global crypto market cap rebounds over $1 trillion. While whale participation was initially lacking, recent data suggests that whales are now actively buying and trading crypto tokens.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are also seeing a buildup of whales as the price continues to climb. Bitcoin (BTC) price is trading at $23,578 and Ethereum (ETH) price is trading at $1,615.

Whales are accumulating these crypto tokens

According to WhaleStats, Shiba Inu (SHIB), Polygon (MATIC), and Decentraland (MANA) are the most used smart contracts and tokens accumulated by top Ethereum whales.

MATIC is one of the most used smart contracts among the top 5000 ETH whales in the last 24 hours, according to WhaleStats. The Polygon (MATIC) network underwent an upgrade and hard fork in mid-January to reduce gas charge spikes and address chain reorganization issues.

Santiment reported that a whale bought 59 million MATIC tokens worth $56 million. The whale was able to buy MATIC just before a 20% jump in the MATIC price. As of this writing, MATIC price is trading at $1.19, up 7% in the last 24 hours.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) witnessed huge speculation during the launch of Shibarium Beta. Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama hints at Shibarium launching on February 14, Valentine’s Day. Whales were selling SHIB until December, but bought Shiba Inu when Shibarium launched.

Shiba Inu is the most used smart contract and tokens purchased by top Ethereum whales in the last 24 hours. SHIB price is trading at $0.00001204, up 2% in the last 24 hours.

Decentraland (MANA) price has climbed over 15% in the past 24 hours, with the current price trading at $0.78. The project has seen increased development activity in recent weeks.

Decentraland is the most used smart contract among the top 100 ETH whales in 24 hours. Additionally, MANA is the top 10 token bought from the top 100 ETH whales in the last 24 hours.

DOGE, ADA, AAVE among the best tokens bought by BSC Whales

According to WhaleStats, BSC whales are accumulating Dogecoin (DOGE), Cardano (ADA), and AAVE. These are the top 10 tokens purchased from the top 500 BSC whales in the last 24 hours. AAVE is back in the top 10 purchased tokens among the top 500 BSC whales after the launch of Aave V3 on Ethereum.
