Canadian actor William Shatner of the iconic Star Trek sci-fi film series, the famous Admiral James T. Kirk performer and a crypto enthusiast, took to Twitter to say that Bruce Fenton should make Bitcoin go “over the moon”.
Bruce Fenton is the Managing Director of Chainstone Labs, one of the oldest Bitcoiners in the crypto space, is currently on a trip to the United Arab Emirates. Shatner’s tweet was a comment on a photo he took at a hotel there. Neither Fenton nor Shatner shared details of that trip.
Have fun this week. Take Bitcoin to the Moon! https://t.co/aTRoBWyUGB

Two years ago, Shatner seemed to be making several attempts to enter the crypto space, was advocating Ethereum, and was even on good terms with Justin Sun, the creator of the Tron chain and former CEO of the Tron Foundation.
The famous actor hasn’t tweeted much about crypto lately. However, last fall, as reported by U.Today, just after Ethereum moved from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake protocol by implementing the Merge upgrade, Shatner sent his greetings and congratulations to Vitalik Buterin the leader and co-founder of the second largest blockchain platform.
In February, Ethereum is expected to launch another major upgrade, Shanghai. Among other things it will add to Ethereum, it will allow stakers to start withdrawing their ETH from the Ethereum 2.0 deposit contract, which has been stuck there for about two years now.
Bitcoin matters now, says Robert Kiyosaki
According to a prominent investor and entrepreneur in the field of financial education, the author of the famous book “Rich Dad, Poor Dad”, Robert Kiyosaki, the flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin is “invaluable now”.
As U.Today reported earlier, Kiyosaki believes that currently the global economy has entered a period of global recession, far worse than the Great Depression.
Many companies are laying off workers, including crypto companies and technology companies around the world. Companies are going bankrupt, including the crypto space, as the FTX exchange filed for bankruptcy in November and the Genesis crypto lender which belongs to the Digital Currency Group created by Barry Silbert filed for bankruptcy just recently.
More and more people are becoming homeless and losing their pensions, Kiyosaki commented. In this regard, as a long-time Bitcoin supporter, he tweeted that BTC is priceless now, and there are bargains on gold and silver, which he also sees as valuable assets.
