IOTA ranks 5th and drives compliance adoption worldwide

[ad_1]

IOTA remains a highly functional, growth-oriented, enterprise-grade DLT development platform. The protocol has deep roots with INATBA which strives to bring about thoughtful reforms with social impact when it comes to blockchain protocols.

The IOTA Foundation, the non-profit startup behind the development and maintenance of the IOTA Distributed Ledger technology, has held the spotlight in developing highly specialized use cases for blockchain over the past past year. While the previous year was marked by a number of upheavals ranging from bankruptcies to regulatory constraints, IOTA has taken the reins of business to focus more on initiatives that can help promote the general prospects of the new technology. .

According to its GitHub activities, the IOTA protocol is ranked as the 5th largest protocol when it comes to development activities. DLT is only ranked below Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT) and Kusama (KSM), Status (SNT) and Ethereum (ETH) as the most important blockchain protocol.

While the IOTA protocol has made a name for itself when it comes to its development efforts, it is also a founding member and prominent participant of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA). While INATBA is focused on bringing together policy makers and regulators with blockchain startups to create viable solutions to critical social challenges and thereby fuel the growth and adoption of emerging technology.

The role of IOTA with INATBA

As a founding member of INATBA, IOTA played a vital role in some of the organization’s most important initiatives in 2022.

INATBA has a number of active working groups, including the Social Impact and Sustainability Working Group (SISWG), Privacy Working Group (PWG), and Finance Working Group (FWG). ). These working groups are responsible for making research and discoveries to promote the fundamental objectives of INATBA.

The IOTA Foundation has been a prominent contributor to the work of the SISWG over the past year. The working group, under the leadership of Mariana de la Roche, Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert at IOTA, has dedicated its resources to uncovering the challenges and opportunities facing blockchain protocols with respect to the impact social.

In its Blockchain for Social Impact report published last year, the group gave a comprehensive definition of what social impact is. Here is the given definition of social impact;

Any measurable result, intended or unintended, of actions taken (or resulting from such actions) by individuals in the private or public sector that positively affects the cultural and socio-economic environment of other individuals and communities.
