Authorities are seeking to arrest a former Massachusetts city employee who set up a covert crypto-mining operation at a high school two years ago, according to local media reports.

Nadeam Nahas, the former assistant director of facilities for the town of Cohasset, was to be arrested on Thursday for vandalizing a school and stealing $18,000 worth of electricity. But he failed to appear in court and a judge issued a warrant for his arrest.

The city discovered 11 computers, electrical wiring and conduits in the crawl space of Cohasset High School in December 2021.
