Crypto Price Today: Bitcoin Breaks Above $30,700; Ethereum and Cardano jump up to 11%

Cryptocurrency markets were trading higher on Friday with the crypto market capitalization increasing more than 4% in the past 24 hours. Bitcoin (BTC) rose 2.30% to hit $30,786, while Ethereum (ETH) jumped 10.5% and was above the $2,100 level.

“Rising more than 10% in the last 24 hours, ETH is trading in the $2.1000 area despite some fearing a massive dump after the Shapella upgrade. BTC is also rising to reach the mark of $31,000 The Crypto Fear and Greed Index jumped 7 points to regain the score of 68, suggesting an increase in investor confidence,” said Parth Chaturvedi, Head of Ecosystem crypto at CoinSwitch.

On Friday, other top crypto tokens were also trading higher. Dogecoin jumped nearly 9%. Meanwhile, BNB, XRP, Litecoin, Solana, and Cardano also traded with gains. The global cryptocurrency market capitalization was trading at around $1.28 trillion, up 4.25% in the past 24 hours.

The market capitalization of Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency in the world, was around $595 billion. Bitcoin dominance is currently at 46.30%, down 0.95% on the day, according to CoinMarketCap.

“Bitcoin broke above the US$30,800 level in the past 24 hours as crypto markets continued to react to the latest US inflation report. Support for BTC lies at the US$30,400 level , while resistance lies at the $30,800 level,” Edul Patel, co-founder and CEO of Mudrex, said.

Rajagopal Menon, VP of WazirX, said: “Major market oscillators indicate neutral sentiment. Relative Strength Index (14) sits at 71, with a neutral outlook. Stochastic %K (14, 3 , 3) indicates a sell at 88. and the Average Directional Index (14) indicates a neutral outlook at 39.
