Russia Calls for Prevention of ‘Full-Scale World War 3’, Warns ‘Global Tensions Are Burning’ CryptoGlobe

A senior Russian official has urged all countries to make efforts to ensure that the threat of global confrontation, a full-scale Third World War, does not materialize. “Global tensions are indeed white-hot,” he warned.

Russian official: Full-scale World War III unlikely to materialize

Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev urged all countries to make efforts to avoid the outbreak of a new full-scale global conflict on Tuesday, while addressing participants in the Znanie (Knowledge ).

I can’t say what straw broke the camel’s back, what could be the trigger. But it may happen at some point, he said, as quoted by Russian news outlet Tass. The official pointed out:

We must all work to ensure that this threat of global confrontation, of a full-scale Third World War, does not materialize.

Commenting on the current conflict between Russia and Western countries, he stressed that Russia does not wish to see a war break out.

However, he said: But global tensions are indeed white-hot.

Noting that he and his friends “used to talk about confrontation with the United States, confrontation between the Warsaw Pact and the North Atlantic Alliance,” the Russian official pointed out:

At the time, it seemed like some kind of far-fetched, impossible, hypothetical scenario. But I can’t say that right now, sad as it sounds.

Russian President Vladimir Putin’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said this week that anti-Russian sanctions would have a detrimental impact on the global economy, with the potential to trigger a global economic crisis. To reduce its dependence on the dollar after the United States grabbed around $300 billion of its foreign exchange reserves, Russia is pushing for the BRICS to gain global influence. The BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) are also working on creating a currency.
