Sean Ono Lennon, younger son of John Lennon, took to Twitter to say that he had started following Dogecoin founder Billy Markus on Twitter. It seems that Sean Lennon listened to Markus’ Twitter space and then decided to subscribe to his account.

In 2020, Sean Lennon started supporting the flagship cryptocurrency Bitcoin. He then attended Max Keizer’s “Orange Pill” crypto podcast and said broadly that BTC gave him more optimism than anything during this tough year as the world faced the pandemic, taking thousands of lives.

Later, Sean Ono Lennon started showing his support for other music celebrities who got into crypto. In particular, Lennon tweeted in favor of Gene Simmons, the legendary bassist of the band KISS, who also got into crypto and started tweeting about Bitcoin, ADA and XRP.

Sean Lennon has never said if he owns any cryptocurrencies, even Bitcoin. However, at the end of March this year, he tweeted “only bitcoin can save us now”, responding to a tweet by Stacy Herbert about a bitcoin stand against the conventional fiat currency USD.

Hence, he seems to be admiring crypto from a distance so far. However, now that Lennon is following Billy Markus, he may one day decide to shorten that distance between himself and digital currencies and maybe even start holding Dogecoin.
