The staggering reversal in the accumulation could be attributed to several factors. For one, the accumulation had occurred within the past 365 days. Therefore, this implies that this cohort was of the view that BTC was undervalued.
Despite Bitcoin’s price increasing in the new year, the prawns remained convinced that the peak of BTC was not yet near. But looking at the 365-day Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) ratio, on-chain data showed that a portion of BTC holders were up.
The MVRV ratio refers to the capitalization of assets divided by the capitalization realized, used to indicate the profitability of investors and the fair value of assets. At the time of writing this article, the metric was 16.88%.

For this reason, it could be said that retailers consider BTC to be strong enough to be profitable in the long run, thus seizing the opportunity. Subsequently, the price of BTC over the past year ended with a decline of 11.21%, thanks to the notable recovery in the first quarter of the year.
