Launch of tBTC by Threshold Network on Arbitrum L2Celebrating the release of NFT

Arbitrum (ARB), a dominant Ethereum L2 scaler, now supports the Bitcoin-Ethereum tBTC bridge mechanism. This will speed up the speed of transactions with BTC liquidity and make them more profitable.

Launch of tBTC by Threshold Network on Arbitrum L2

According to the official announcement shared by the Web3 Threshold Network team, its noncustodial bridge solution dubbed tBTC has launched on the Arbitrum (ARB) mainnet. The launch is a phase of the tBTC Wrapped Tour initiative designed to introduce “native” Bitcoin (BTC) liquidity to various programmable blockchains.

The integration is powered by Wormhole, the largest bridge infrastructure provider, and Balancer DeFi. On Balancer, the tBTC/WETH and WBTC/tBTC bridges accept cash from LPs.

As Threshold Network representatives explained, this is the only bridge solution to date that completely avoids any centralized point of failure, relying on a distributed set of validators:

Unlike its centralized counterparts, with their authorized access and risk of censorship, tBTC does not need middlemen or middlemen. Instead, it operates a group of randomly selected node operators on the Threshold network.

Arbitrum One, the largest Arbitrum blockchain, is the best Ethereum (ETH) L2 scaler by total value locked (TVL). At the end of May 2023, he is in charge of $5.74 billion out of $8.77 billion; out of $3 locked on Ethereum L2s, $2 is injected into Arbitrum DeFis.

NFT Release Celebration

To immortalize the launch of tBTC on Arbitrum, Threshold Network invites all crypto enthusiasts to join in the celebration of NFT activity.

Anyone who makes tBTC, links it to Arbitrum (ARB), and contributes liquidity to Balancer’s liquidity pools will be eligible to claim a unique Galxe OAT NFT.

Additionally, more blockchains will be added to the range of networks supported by tBTC, the protocol team added.

As previously reported by U.Today, a non-custodial bridge to Polygon zkEVM was launched a month ago on April 27, 2023. It is poised to provide liquidity inflows to the most promising EVM equivalent network and the most developed to date.
