Crypto Price Today: Bitcoin Holds Over $30,600; Polkadot and Polygon increase by more than 3%

Cryptocurrency markets were mostly trading higher in Monday’s trade. Bitcoin (BTC) rose 0.65% to hit $30,688, while Ethereum (ETH) was above the $1,900 level.

BTC volume stood at around $10.92 billion, up 26.43% in the past 24 hours.

“Bitcoin started the new week trading above the US$30,700 mark, but struggled to break above the US$31,000 level, indicating a lack of urgency among the bulls to secure profits. right now,” said Edul Patel, co-founder and CEO of Mudrex.

“The price has remained relatively stagnant between US$31,431 and US$29,500 for some time now. If BTC manages to break through the US$31,000 threshold, there is potential for an uptrend; otherwise, support currently sits at US$29,500,” Edul added.

Other top crypto tokens were also trading higher. Polkadot, Polygon and Avalanche were up over 3%. Meanwhile, BNB, Dogecoin, and Litecoin also traded with gains. The global cryptocurrency market cap was trading higher around $1.21 trillion, up 1.10% in the past 24 hours. Total DeFi volume is currently 2.55 billion, or 8.46% of the total 24-hour crypto market volume. The volume of all stablecoins is now $26.98 billion, or 89.53% of the total 24-hour crypto market volume. The market capitalization of Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency in the world, was around $595 billion. Bitcoin dominance is currently at 49.36%, down 0.22% on the day, according to CoinMarketCap. “Bitcoin is currently at $30,770, showing no clear bull or bear dominance in the broader market. To gain control, buyers must push the price. at the $31,200 level, which could potentially lead to a break above the $31,458 resistance level,” said Sathvik Vishwanath, Co-Founder and CEO of Unocoin.

“Traders should closely monitor the candle’s recent high at $31,458 over the medium term. If the candle closes above this level without a long wick, it could signal further upside and potentially test the next resistance at 32. $376,” Sathvik added.
