Binance lost three executives as the exchange continued to fend off a number of regulatory probes around the world.
Those parting ways with Binance include General Counsel Hon Ng, as well as Chief Strategy Officer Patrick Hillmann, as well as Steven Christie, who served as Senior Vice President for Compliance, Fortune originally reported.
A former legal executive based in Asia-Pacific, Eleanor Hughes has since been elevated to the position of open general counsel of Binances.
Hillmann on Twitter said he was leaving on good terms with Binance, and Christie said he was just tired after spending the past six years working on compliance projects for Kraken and Binance.
Binance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Redesigns at MicroStrategy, Polygon Labs
MicroStrategy lost chief revenue officer Kevin Adkisson this week.
After working for MicroStrategy for nearly seven years in four different sales positions, Adkisson resigned from his role on Wednesday, according to an SEC filing. He is willing to stay on as an advisor.
MicroStrategy CEO and President Phong Le took over the responsibilities of Adkissons.
In addition, Polygon Labs has promoted Marc Boiron from legal director to CEO. Boiron has worked at a number of law firms advising companies on blockchain technology. His most recent gig: legal director of the dYdX crypto trading platform.
Rebecca Rettig will take over as Chief Legal Officer. Rettig joined Polygon in January as Director of Policy. She held the same role at Aave before that and was briefly a board member of Silvergate Bank in March 2022.
Additionally, Ryan Wyatt will step down as Polygon President in late July to take on an advisory role.
ETC Group, a European crypto ETP provider, is abandoning its co-CEO model. Tim Bevan will take over as sole managing director of the company and Bradley Duke will become chief strategy officer. Hong Kong recently staffed its Web3 Development Task Force which it introduced in February. Financial Secretary Paul Chan will chair the group and Yat Siu of Animoca Brands has been named a member. Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz told a conference last month that his company and other crypto companies are looking to move employees overseas due to the regulatory environment in the United States.
