Crypto investors have been pouring money into Bitcoin exchange-traded products at a record pace since BlackRock filed a spot ETF on June 15.

New data from K33 Research shows that the BTC equivalent exposure of listed ETPs globally increased by 25,202 BTC ($757 million) to 196,824 BTC in the four weeks to July 16. This is the second highest monthly net inflow, only surpassed by inflows seen after launch. of ProShares futures ETFs and other futures ETFs in October 2021, according to K33 Researchs Vetle Lunde.

Total exposure in BTC equivalent is now at the highest since June 2022.

ETPs are a broad class of listed products that track some sort of underlying financial asset. Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) are a particular subset of ETPs that typically hold a variety of financial products within a specific theme.

Lunde also noted that BITO hit an all-time high bitcoin-equivalent exposure of 4,425 BTC. BITO offers bitcoin-linked returns to investors through a regulated product and holds over $1 billion in CME Bitcoin Futures.

BITO peaks have tended to occur near local market highs, noted. BITO’s overall BTC exposure has remained structurally stable from June 2022 until last week, when the market experienced its first notable breakout.
