Why crypto is likely to go crazy (again) in July

[ad_1]

It’s been a hell of a month for cryptocurrency investors. Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Ethereum, they’ve all taken it on the chin, and investors are rightly exhausted. They probably won’t get much rest next month.

Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey, two of the biggest online digital currency influencers, will discuss Bitcoin in front of an audience on July 21 at a conference.

Dorsey announced the talk titled The B Word Thursday night, and Musk took part in the conversation via Twitter. Dorsey continued the exchange (you can read it for yourself below), and eventually Musk agreed to a conversation at the event, and the panel was set up on Friday morning.

Dorsey is a long-time supporter of Bitcoin, particularly via Square. In February, after Bitcoin prices fell, all it took for a strong recovery was news that Square had bought $ 170 million worth of cryptocurrency. In 2018, he boldly predicted that Bitcoin would be a global currency within 10 years.

Musk, meanwhile, has the supernatural ability to move crypto markets with the vaguest of tweets. The rise (and subsequent fall) in Dogecoins can, in large part, be attributed to his improvised comments. And the Bitcoins that fell out of favor earlier this year were due, in part, to his tweet about Tesla no longer accepting crypto for car purchases.

Depending on the scope of the conversation or comments (or even jokes) from either participant, the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptos could see even more volatility.
