As studios and streaming services continue to make deals, get off the ship, and generally settle down with preferred partners, it becomes increasingly difficult to determine which movies will be available where and when. Amazon’s latest deal with Universal is one example.

Amazon has entered into a multi-year agreement for exclusive Prime Video streaming rights for the theatrical releases of Universal Live, which will begin next year. According to a report from Deadline, it will cover blockbusters such as Jurassic World: Dominion, the upcoming horror film from Get Out director Jordan Peele and Halloween Ends.

However, the deal covers part of the one-time payment window, which is the 18-month period after a movie is released in theaters. Just days ago, Universal struck a deal with its NBCUniversal sibling, Peacock, for the first four and last four months of the window.

So that should mean that within four months of their theatrical release date, Universal’s live-action movies will start airing on Peacock. Four months later, they’ll switch to Prime Video for 10 months, before returning to Peacock for at least another four months.

Universals’ plan appears to be revamping the release schedule around different streaming platforms to ensure that its movies reach more audiences on different services while keeping said platforms happy with what they get. The problem is, you might struggle to find the movie you want to watch or miss the opportunity to see it unless you pay a lot of attention to the movie release dates.

Qualcomm smartphone for Snapdragon Insiders

ASUS and Qualcomm have teamed up to create a smartphone that showcases some of the latter’s mobile technologies. While the phone is apparently aimed at the 1.6 million members of the Snapdragon Insiders program, it will be more widely available by August.

Oddly, it won’t pack the most high-end Qualcomm mobile processor (Snapdragon 888+), but a Snapdragon 888 5G chipset, with what is described as “the most comprehensive support for all major 5G sub-6 bands. and mmWave “from any device, with WiFi 6 and WiFi 6E. There is also 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The screen is also specified: it’s a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of brightness. The 64-megapixel rear camera will also be capable of recording 8K videos.

It will be one of the first phones to support Snapdragon Sound, which offers Bluetooth low latency, listening profiles, active noise cancellation (ANC), and high-resolution audio support up to 24-bit 96 kHz. In addition to the stereo speakers, the phone comes with true Master & Dynamic wireless ANC headphones which is a nice touch. The smartphone designed by ASUS for Snapdragon Insiders will initially be available in a few countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea. Harley-Davidson’s Latest LiveWire Electric Motorcycle Is More Affordable RidingThe company’s first LiveWire brand electric motorcycle has arrived.

The most eye-catching feature of Harley-Davidson’s new LiveWire One is its price. The electric motorcycle will cost $ 21,999. Paramount has given the green light for a full restoration of Robert Wises 2001 Directors Edition of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The project will apparently take between six and eight months, will be formatted in 4K, with Dolby Vision HDR, and will feature a new Dolby Atmos soundtrack.

The film, which was the first time Kirk, Spock et al. on the big screen, was a slower affair than you might expect from a sci-fi series, drawing inspiration from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
