Markets are cyclical and move in a variety of patterns which can often provide insight into what phase of a market cycle an asset like Bitcoin might find itself in.
But could time also play an important role in when market cycles peak? Evidence suggests that the crypto market is particularly sensitive to market timing and that last December it marked a distinct high or low. If this evidence is correct and a pattern is potentially valid, will the price of Bitcoin be high or low at the end of this year?
Bitcoin price deadlocked, when will the fork break?
The price of Bitcoin is still stuck around the low range of $ 30,000 – an inflection point and a confusing stage in the current market cycle. The major cryptocurrency has spent the majority of the past 15 months on the rise, but three months ago the market turned.

But rather than being a cycle top, the price chart looks more like a midpoint of the bull run, or maybe a four out of five wave – the last leg being one for the history books.
Adding more credibility to the theory, a chart shared by a crypto analyst that uses “sine lines” to call up distinct highs and lows in Bitcoin that occur every second of December.

Each December is a month to remember in Bitcoin, dating back to the first time Bitcoin hit over $ 1,000. It quickly fell 80% to below $ 200 the following December, where it hit its bear market low.
Two years later, in December 2017, the price of Bitcoin peaked again, ending that bullish rally and starting another bear market. The bottom of this bear market was – you guessed it – in December. A temporary “bottom” was even set in December 2019 before a rejection resulted in Black Thursday last year.
In December 2020? The price of Bitcoin was exploding through former resistance at an all time high – a level it has never seen again, but which is now below $ 12,000.

The sinusoidal lines shown in the graph above suggest that the price of Bitcoin could potentially peak again, later this year. This would mean that the current ‘peak’ was only a local peak and the rally of the bulls will resume soon.
According to Wikipedia, a sine line or sine wave “is a continuous wave” and is “named after the sine function”. It is essentially a mathematical curve that describes a “smooth periodic oscillation”. More importantly, it is found everywhere in nature, especially in wind, sound and light. But what about the time?
Time and price are little more than various forms of mathematics, which pulsate in waves. Before you dismiss any theory about December, remember, the sine wave towards the end of this year and if the math adds up, the price of Bitcoin should be much higher.
