Celebrities are stepping out for crypto, but will Iron Mike have diamond hands?

Crypto at a glance

The price of Bitcoin continues to hold above $ 30,000 today, although it is now down 8% from the same time last week.

The largest cryptocurrency by market value has spent the weekend trading in an increasingly narrow range between $ 31,000 and $ 33,000. It continues to hold up stronger than the rest of the market, with Ethereum down 4% in the past 24 hours.

There was some good news this weekend, though, albeit from feared anonymous sources. CoinDesk reported that Bank of America has approved Bitcoin futures trading for some clients, although it can only say their sources are aware of the matter. Which is at least better than citing sources without any knowledge of the subject. If this were true, it would be another domino in the list of financial giants to have made Bitcoin available to its customers in the past year or so.

In more concrete good news, the city of Jackon, Tennessee, is looking to allow residents to pay their property taxes with Bitcoin. Mayor Scotten Conger is a strong supporter of Bitcoin and has laser eyes on his Twitter profile picture. He was joined by Mike Tyson and Busta Rhymes over the weekend, both of whom were active on social media to let the world know their feelings on the matter. Celebrities tweeting about Bitcoin? Is the bull really finished?

Convince Your Nan: Soundbite of the Day

I would say it’s a digital property; it is a threat to property; it is particularly a threat to other forms of property. Gold is a property; real estate is property. I don’t think the United States government is threatened by real estate, buildings, businesses, or gold.

Why do we accept inflation? Why are we not demanding more of our federal government? 6.3% in 2 years. 172.8% in my lifetime. Each year our dollar is worth less. There is no rebound. There is only one fix for this .. #Bitcoin
