A new poll showed former President Donald Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr., is far more popular with Republicans than GOP leaders in the same chamber of Congress.
Trump Jr. remained a voice force within the Republican Party after his father resigned and floated as a potential presidential or senatorial candidate. He has not yet committed to running for office but has been an active member on the trail of the campaign working to elect Republicans and possibly his endorsement could be an asset to candidates, such as the father.
A recent poll from Fabrizio, Lee & Associates, a survey investigative and strategic consulting firm, found that Trump Jr. is the most attractive Republican among GOP voters. His net favorite rate is double that of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and 25 times higher than Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, according to Axios.
McConnell, formerly a staunch ally of Trump, has found himself ending the former president’s anger since the unrest at the Capitol. The Senate leader blames Trump for feeding “lies” to the mob about the 2020 presidential election and sparked the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

In parting with McConnell, Trump targeted the longtime GOP leader for being a weak legislator who allowed Democrats to steamroll Republicans in moving their agenda. While attacking McConnell, Trump announced that he would make major Republicans in the election if necessary and it was possible that he would try to oust McConnell.
Experts told Newsweek in February that it would be difficult to actually remove McConnell, who is not ready for re-election until 2026, from office, but Trump’s handling of the party could require the Senate leader to work to ensure one is the party.
Another prominent Republican Party name facing pushback from the Trump family is Representative Liz Cheney. A vocal critic of the former president, particularly about the unrest at the Capitol, removed Cheney from his position on GOP leadership and his acceptance of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s appointment to the Jan. 6 committee rushed to Republicans.
McCarthy questioned whether this signaled that Cheney was more aligned with the Democrats than the GOP and Trump Jr. who vowed to actively work to ensure he does not win re -election in 2022. At the CPAC, Trump Jr. reiterated. his love of campaigning amid rumors that he might be interested in a 2024 presidential run.
“I love being in that fight. I love fighting things out there, which I believe as a conservative,” Trump Jr. said. on Fox News.
Really running for office would require Trump Jr. to really “want to do the day job” that comes with winning a campaign, he told Fox News, adding that it’s a “whole different story” that he really wants to “get along with that mix. ”However, whether Trump Jr. should consider. one run, the latest poll of 800 GOP voters from Fabrizio, Lee & Associates shows he could be successful here.
