Trump Has $ 102 Million Political Cash as GOP Eyes Midterm Election

Former President Donald Trump has $ 102 million in political cash that he can use while the GOP looks at majorities in Congress next year, according to a filing Saturday night with the Federal Election Commission.

Mr. Trump raised nearly $ 82 million in all of his political committees into action in the first half of the year through June 30, documents showed, with $ 62 million raised by the Save America PAC, a committee of leadership who also sends Mr. Trump press statements and candidate endorsements.

Fundraising figures show that despite losing the 2020 election and being banned from many social-media platforms, Mr. Trump remains a draw for donations from Republican voters, specifically through solicitations of email and text message.

Mr. Trump has been particularly successful on the Republican donation platform WinRed. The platform’s public filing on Friday showed Mr. Trumps ’committees raised more than $ 56 million in online donations more than any other GOP group on the platform in the first half of the year.

Some of that went to the Republican National Committee as part of a joint fundraising agreement with the Trump Make America Great Again committee. But most went to committees controlled by Mr. TrumpSave America PAC, his joint fundraising committees and MAGA PAC, his former campaign that converted into a multicandidate committee.
