Donald Travis Dye, 47 of Pembroke, VA passed away this life on August 5, 2021, at John Randolph Medical Center, surrounded by the loving care of his wife and brother. Born in Aurora, Colorado on July 26, 1974, he was the son of Ann Trout Gore and the late Bill Joe Dye.

Travis is known for his beauty, a gentle touch, tall stories of adventure, hunting, and fishing, accepting a challenge of any deed, he will greet you with a small twisted smile. Probably just afraid of the spider. Having the biggest heart, he had a lust for animals, especially his puppies he left behind; Wilson, Ellie and Dottie. In addition, he loves his family and membership and owns the Laural Lodge Hunt Club.

Left to cherish his memories in their hearts is his wife, Millie G. Dye of 18 years where he shared an unrequited love, you can hear them saying I love you now ; his mother, Ann Trout Gore (Wayne) of South Carolina; a son, Christian Dye of North Carolina; stepson, Lucas Stevers (Kacie); brother, David Saleeba III (Julie) of York, SC; a sister, Gaylynne Greak of Rosharon, Texas, her granddaughter, Vayda Louise Stevers; the boys who had the fortune to call him Uncle T, David Saleeba IV, and Donnie Saleeba; his father and father -in -law, Albert and Judy Gillispie; and his siblings Laural Lodge.

A funeral service will be held, Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Kendall officiating. The funeral service will end at Fairview Cemetery in Narrows, VA. The family will receive friends at Kendall Funeral Home, Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A guestbook is available by visiting www.kendallfuneralhome.com.
