This is especially important with the popularity of ghost guns. People who are strictly restricted from buying guns can buy untraceable, unlicensed parts to produce their own ghost guns.

The ATF has not had a confirmed head in a quarter century. David Chipman, nominated by President Joe Bidens for the post, has been an ATF special agent for 25 years. He is a gun owner who strongly believes in the Second Amendment.
