Twitter users compared President Arif Alvi’s typo-error to filling Donal Trump’s ‘covfefe’ tweets. Photo Twitter. Arif Alvi was criticized for attracting the letter M in all his tweets. The trend of kindness resulted in the deletion of tweets from President Alvis’s account. Even Alvis’s son also found the funny side to the trending tweets.
Twitter recently caught Pakistani President Dr Arif Alvi in a tragic scandal for posting tweets full of typographic errors, The Print reported on Tuesday.
The publication said the first tweet full of typos from Alvi gave an impression as if he had mistakenly posted on Twitter while trying to call a taxi from the Pakistan Air Force Golf Club in Islamabad. Later, Mr. President was laughed at for using the letter M repeatedly in all his tweets.
Twitterati compared Alvi’s typos as Pakistani covfefe, referring to former US President Donald Trumps typhoon, which appeared in 2017. The comparison was extended by a series of funny memes and tweets by Pakistani users of Twitter.
This resulted in the deletion of tweets from President Alvis’s account, as announced by his consultant Adil Ansari.
Twitter users are ‘still not’ at peace with deleting posts.
Though, Alvis’s son, orthodontist Dr Awab Alvi, also found the funny part in the President’s pocket tweeting that created a national crisis on Twitter.
One Twitter user saw the trend as less exciting than Trumps covfefe.
However, immediately after the deletion, #mum_mmu started trending on Pakistani Twitter.
Another user shared a collage of some screengrabs from videos of the National Assembly session, with a hashtag of ‘mum_mmu gang’.
Therefore, one of them joked, calling Alvi’s typo ‘a code word for PTI aunties’.
President Alvi and social media
President Alvi trending on Twitter is not the first time he has created a stir on social media. He even created a TikTok account last month but to his chagrin, video app sharing was banned by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the country.
