Donald made a push to be named MVP in 2018 when he had 20.5 sacks, 25 tackles for a loss and 41 QB hits, completely dominant weekly. But even in that historic season, Patrick Mahome won thanks to his 50 touchdown passes and 5,097 yards in the air.

It’s just so hard for a defensive player to win an MVP, especially when quarterbacks throw 40 touchdowns and 5,000 yards almost every year.
