Hudson – Donald P. Doroni Jr., 59, of Hudson died suddenly on Aug. 16, 2021.

Don was born in Weymouth and grew up in Hingham, where he graduated from Hingham High School in 1980. After attending classes at Bridgewater State College, he began a nearly 40 -year career as a manager at various groceries. and retail stores.

Don was married to Jean Monti from 1984 to 2007. They started a family in Braintree before settling in Bridgewater, where they lived throughout their marriage. Don met his current fiancé, Susan, in 2011 and they settled in the Hudson.

Don has enjoyed candle bowling his entire life and competes in many New England Candlepin Bowling tournaments. He is an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan and enjoyed communicating online with others who shared his love of bowling and the sport. Most of all, he really enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his zealous nature, infectious sense of humor and wit, and his gift for bringing pleasure and lightness to others.

Don is survived by his engaged partner of 11 years and girlfriend, Susan Andrusaitis of Hudson; his loving children, Krystin Cotone of Bridgewater and Donald Doroni III and wife Tori of Brockton; Children of Susan, Allison Callahan and husband Dan of Wakefield and John Clickner of Hudson; and his beloved grandchildren, Apryl, Mychal, and Drew. Don is also the beloved brother of Steven Doroni and wife Paula of Braintree and Debra Doroni and wife James Aldrich of Rhode Island. He is the most important uncle to Steven, Jillian, and Autumn Doroni of Braintree and Aija Aldrich of Rhode Island. He is the step-son of Ken Anderson of Weymouth. Don was preceded in death by his parents Donald Doroni Sr. and Lucia Anderson.

The celebration of life and funeral Mass was held Aug. 20. CC Shepherd Funeral Service Inc. of South Weymouth assisted in the repairs.
