Trump said he ‘f — ing hated’ Ron DeSantis

As with former President Donald Trump’s possible vision of the 2024 run, a new report suggests that there’s another potential contender whose popularity is really “disgusting”: Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R).

A report from Vanity Fair this week investigates how various Republicans are “testing the waters” for presidential primers in 2024 in case Trump decides to seek the GOP nomination, and among the possible protagonists in that scenario is DeSantis. But the report illustrates the fact that the Florida governor’s “biggest challenge” could be his “tree relationship” with the 45th president.

“Trump f — ing hated DeSantis,” a Trump confidential told Vanity Fair. “He’s just disgusted with her popularity.”

Earlier this year, a 2024 straw poll taken at the Western Conservative Summit saw DeSantis slightly ahead of Trump, 74 percent to 71 percent. An unnamed “prominent Republican” told Vanity Fair that Trump told people he “made Ron,” and said in the report that the former president annoyed DeSantis because he thinks he’s not getting enough credit for there. Trump himself told Vanity Fair that DeSantis was a “good man” and “he gives me good credit.”

As far as whether Trump will ask for the Republican’s 2024 nomination, former adviser Jason Miller said this week that he is “certain”. But former Trump adviser Sam Nunberg predicted at Vanity Fair that because DeSantis is “primed to push Trump to the throne,” Trump will give Governor DeSantis a joint ticket. “Read more at Vanity Fair.
