Multiple tenants have been displaced in the Trump Tower, according to a report in the Washington Post.

The Trump Organization sued the maker of Ivanka Trump’s shoe line last year for $ 1.5 million in unpaid rent.

A tenant who continues to pay its bills is a PAC for Donald Trump, according to The Post.

Marc Fisher Footwear, the former manufacturer of Ivanka Trump’s shoe line, fell on nearly $ 1.5 million in unpaid rent at the Trump Tower in New York City, according to a lawsuit filed by the Trump Organization last year.

The lawsuit, filed in March and first reported by Bloomberg, says the company owed rent for a lease that began in 2015 for the entire 21st floor and parts of the 22nd floor of the Trump Tower . The suit said Marc Fisher had not paid rent since Nov. 1, 2020.

The shoe made Ivanka Trump’s shoes before she closed her fashion line in 2018.

A Washington Post report published Friday said the suit was fixed in April for an undisclosed amount. According to the report, the company isn’t the only tenant who missed out on rent payments on the Manhattan skyscraper.

Court documents reviewed by The Post said suit maker Marcraft Clothes, who rented the 18th floor of the Trump Tower, was behind a $ 644,000 rent before leaving the business last year. Another company formerly owned by Kris Jenner owed $ 198,000 in rent until October 2020, court documents said.

Insider’s Grace Panetta reported that Trump Tower experienced the same financial hardship as other commercial real estate properties in New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic. The low role in tourism and a decline in foot traffic on Fifth Avenue, known for luxury shopping, has a role to play.

However, a committee for political action for Donald Trump has been a constant source of revenue for the main building of the Trump Organization. The Post reported that the PAC was paying nearly $ 40,000 in rent for the office space on the 15th floor.

The outlet reported that PAC staff rarely use the space, as most work from home or from other Trump properties in Florida and New Jersey.

“We’re paying a market rate for rented office space used to help President Trump build a financial juggernaut to help the electorate of America’s first conservatives and flip both House and Senate over to Republicans in midterm elections, ”Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington told The Post.
