Donald Lee Smith (Poppie), 77, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his home in Cleveland. He was born on January 12, 1944 in Lexington, SC, but moved to Atlanta, where he spent most of his life. What Donald really loved was wrestling in the WWE, the alipores, Donald Duck, Bugs Bunny and going to games with the Atlanta Braves. But most of all he loves spending time and making memories with his family. Donald is very strong, and a fighter to the end. He made sure everyone knew they were loved. He was a lonely man who melted the hearts of everyone who came in contact with him.

Donald was succeeded on the death of his father, James Smith; mother, Ethel Smith; and sister, Helen Danese.

He is survived by a daughter, Melissa (John) Sewell, of Cleveland; son, Stephen (Sarah), of Chandler, Az. brother, Madison (Bonnie) Smith, of Jacksonville, Fl. and five grandchildren, Ryan, Noah, Alissa and Dillon, of Cleveland and Creighton Smith, of Newnan, Ga.; and many friends.
