Donald Trump endorsed Kristina Karama for Michigan Secretary of State.

In a statement, the former president said he fully respects the Oak Park resident and he has a complete and total endorsement to run for “Secretary of State of the Great Michigan State!”

“She is strong in Crime, along with the massive Crime of Election Fraud. Kristina will fight for you like no other, and of equal importance, she will fight for justice,” Trump said. “Good luck Kristina, and while you have it, check out the results of the Fake Election that took place in the city of Detroit.”

Karamo seeks to overthrow Jocelyn Benson, the first state administrator elected in November 2018. This is Karamo’s first campaign for statewide office in Michigan.

“I ran for this office not as a politician but as a servant leader,” Karamo said. “The government should work for the people, not the other way around.

If elected in November 2022, among Karamo’s highest priorities is to ensure that state election systems operate “in accordance with the rule of law.”

At this point, Karamo is the only candidate in the 2022 Michigan election to be endorsed by Trump.

Since the November 2020 general election, numerous statewide and local election audits as well as the Michigan Senate-led investigation have not yielded any evidence of systematic voter fraud such as allegations by the former president and some to his followers.

Cathleen Postmus, a Republican, is the other candidate who filed to run for secretary of state in the 2022 election.
