Donald Trump lost an attempt in court to delay a lawsuit brought by a former magazine columnist after he said he was raped in the mid -1990s.
E Jean Carroll, 77, accused the former president of defamation by saying he was completely lying about an alleged sexual assault on the exchange room of a department store in Manhattan. She claims it happened while she was trying on see-through lingerie that Trump wanted to buy as a gift for another woman.
Lewis Kaplan, a district judge in Manhattan, refused to give up the case as Trump appealed an earlier decision he made. This means Carroll could push his attempts to get documents and other material from Trump. His lawyers said they wanted to too
