Donald Robert Kleinmeyer, 82, of Middle Amana, died Friday Sept. 17, 2021, at Lantern Park Nursing & Rehab. A family grave service will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Donald was born November 15, 1938, in Oxford, Iowa, the son of Adolph and Verda (Fredrickson) Kleinmeyer. Bob lived most of his early years in Oxford and worked for Buck Hummer Trucking, and was a reserve Johnson County Deputy until moving to the family farm on the Swisher farm. He married Evelyn Mary Mouchka on February 17, 1958, in Fairfax, Iowa. Bob enjoys watching wrestling, NASCAR and playing with the family dogs.

Survivors include his sons, Rick (Ruby) Kleinmeyer and Todd (Susan Hayes) Kleinmeyer, his daughters, Kathy (Terry) Zimmerman and Tyera (Douglas) Hess, his sister, Linda Herring, her siblings, Willard, Kenneth and Charles Kleinmeyer, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, infant son, and a sister Regina Stockman.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the Lantern Park staff for the loving care they gave Bob ..
